Jewellery trends for 2027 and beyond
The beauty of Jewellery is that it is always changing. Advancements in technology have resulted in some exciting new ways to forge and create spectacular pieces. As such, at Emson Haig we are seeing some exciting new trends emerge for 2027 and beyond. In particular, we are noticing a shift away from minimalism, and a growing penchant towards embracing bold, sculptural silver, chunky yellow gold, vibrant gemstones and statement studs. The resulting aesthetic is all about showcasing expressive and maximalist individuality. We would like to share with you some of the current and emerging jewellery trends we have observed.
Yellow Gold is still a firm favourite
Yellow gold has always been the undisputed leader for its use in everyday fine jewellery and wedding rings. However, in line with current trends, we are seeing a considerable demand for bold 18k pieces, chunky chains and even vintage-inspired designs.

Silver is becoming sculptural
Silver is enjoying a resurgence. Instead of being used largely to create delicate chains, we are seeing this popular and versatile metal being crafted into oversized, artistic pieces such as sculptural silver cuffs and large, asymmetric drop earrings.

Platinum is a timeless choice
No longer associated purely with wedding jewellery, we are seeing platinum increase in popularity for everyday wear and increasingly being used in men's jewellery, often featuring geometric designs and contrasting elements. This continues to be the precious metal of choice for creating durable, yet fine jewellery pieces that make a statement.
Mixing Metals for striking contrast
We are noticing an increasingly popular trend for wearing gold and silver together. This exciting shift towards bi-colour jewellery creates fluid styling and eye-catching contrast. Examples of these include interlocking two-tone rings, double-wrap cuffs and chain-link necklaces.

Studs & Tassels are making a statement
While there is always a place for dainty and minimalist pendants, there is a growing penchant for striking and bold extra-long tassel necklaces and larger, more eye-catching "statement" earrings, such as vintage-inspired and oversized studs in floral or geometric designs.

Gemstones create a vibrant splash of colour
We are seeing richly coloured precious stones and unconventional gems such as cobalt spinels, teal sapphires and bicolour tourmalines surge in popularity for use in various statement pieces. You could say that modern fine jewellery is entering a "maximalist" era, which is vibrant, expressive and playful.

Pearls are being embraced as everyday staples
The growing trend is to favour modern and irregular shapes, and adjustable chains. In a move towards using pearls in a more casual capacity, these are being readily embraced in versatile, everyday staples rather than formal-only pieces.

Regardless of trends, jewellery remains a very personal choice, because what we wear is a representation of us. Whether your tastes fall towards the more classical items, or if you have the desire to try something different, Emson Haig has a carefully curated and diverse selection of beautiful jewellery for you to choose from.
